I’m African American. I’m 16. And I have Combination Skin(Oily around Nose) right now, I have been using just soap and water. I have sensitive skin and breakouts under my jaw bone and around my cheeks. What are some good skin care products I can purchase at Target or Walmart? Something that’s not gonna dry my skin out. I need, Cleanser Bar, Toner and moisturizer.

Also, what are some good oil blotting sheets I can carry in my purse. (Oily Nose and other areas sometimes) and do I really need to use a Scrub Product like once a week?

Try Clinique products. You can get them from high end department stores such as Dilliards or Macy’s. They’re kind of expensive (it’ll probably cost about $60 to get the basics you need) but it is so worth it. There are professionals at the counter that can help you decide what to get and what strength you need the medicine in. They’ll also give you a full makeover so you can see the difference. Theire make-up is hypo-allergenic and it’s all I use on my sensitive face.

I have fair skin that burns after several hours in the sun but never seems to tan. My skin’s not very oily but it is shiny sometimes. I don’t get acne but I do get the occasional zit. I have a few acne scars on my face, though. I’m using Clean & Clear but now I’m hearing that it makes your skin worse in the long run, plus it doesn’t seem to prevent zits or help get rid of them. I’m 14, going into high school this fall, and I want to look good.

I have pretty sensitive skin too.

I wash my face everyday with Dove Sensitive Skin soap. Half way through the day I wipe my face with either a cleansing cloth, or wash it again.

I’ve tried using deep facial cleansers, they just make me get zits.

I don’t wear makeup, and I use sunblock on my face. Olay Sensitive Skin for Face and Hands.

I have mild acne and lately have discovered that my skin is sensitive. Proactiv worked for a while but I felt like it wasn’t so great anymore. I’ve tried Proactiv, Clean and Clear acne kit, Exuviance Anti-Bac cleanser, On A Clear Day by Philosophy and Aveeno. All were too drying for me. I’ve been using Philosophy Purity Made Simple. It doesn’t dry me out but it doesn’t take care of the pimples. I recently got the NEW Proactiv and that was also too drying. I think I have ruled out that I need to stay away from products with salicylic acid.
I am at my wits end!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

doctors said i got combination skin , but i feel more sensitive and oily than combination . i bought sensitive cleanser , toner , and moisurizer , they dont irritate at all and gentle to my face but i get worried thinking they might harm my face in long term .

There are so many products for combination skin tone in the market but I think it will be fine if you already bought product for sensitive skin .

I have sensitive skin from head to toe. I am looking for multiple experiences with skin cleansers, lotions, toners, exfoliants and any kind of skin care stories. What works best for you? What keeps dry skin, specifically on the face at bay? What brands do you prefer? How many times per day do you wash your face? What is your routine?
